A place to begin
A federal riding is more than a boundary on a map. It includes neighbours, families, workplaces, schools, congregations, community groups, and many people whose experiences differ.
Praying locally helps us notice the well-being of the whole community and the responsibilities shared by residents and public servants.
Scripture to pray with
Seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to Yahweh for it; for in its peace you will have peace.

This passage calls God's people to seek and pray for their community's peace.
I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth.
