Pray for Government shares the National House of Prayer's conviction that praying for those in authority is central to expanding God's Kingdom (1 Timothy 2:1-4), and that Canada's founding drew on a Judeo-Christian heritage worth reclaiming.
We believe no political party embodies God's Kingdom -- the Kingdom is leaven inside every party, not the property of one -- and that spiritual awakening and disciple-making, not legislation alone, are the root of lasting national change (Matthew 28).
We hold to hope over fear (2 Timothy 1:7), blessing rather than condemning leaders, and prayer as an act of boldness rather than imprecation (Acts 4).
