This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.

Reflection

Elected representatives and appointed senators carry significant responsibilities each day, deliberating on legislation, committee work, and constituent needs. Interceding for parliamentarians requires sustained expectation that God responds when believers seek his favour and guidance on their behalf. Asking for wisdom, moral clarity, and integrity supports those serving in governance. Trusting in divine providence encourages believers to lift up leaders regularly, requesting strength for their heavy workloads and wisdom for every decision facing Parliament.
