Reflection
Substance dependency and severe addiction bring immense heartbreak to individuals, families, and neighbourhoods. When communities face the devastating impact of toxic drug crises, local congregations and believers can offer compassionate support, practical care, and spiritual hope. Intercession should focus on strengthening community outreach efforts, supporting addiction recovery initiatives, and providing unconditional love to those who are suffering. May faith communities extend effective assistance, harbouring the vulnerable and walking alongside people seeking transformation and lasting peace.
Prayer
Pray that the Church would be an Isaiah 61 people, bringing healing to the brokenhearted and freedom to those captive in addiction, especially amidst the fentanyl crisis.
