When Yahweh brought back those who returned to Zion, we were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “Yahweh has done great things for them.” Yahweh has done great things for us, and we are glad.
Psalm 126:1-3 World English Bible
Reflection
Enduring prolonged captivity inflicts deep physical, mental, and emotional wounds that linger long after physical freedom is restored. Those who have experienced such extreme trauma require patient care, compassionate support, and divine healing to rebuild their lives. Intercession can ask for God's comforting presence to meet survivors in their darkest memories, replacing fear with profound peace. We seek complete wholeness for their minds and bodies, alongside guidance for caregivers and counsellors who assist in their recovery.
Prayer
Pray for God to bring restoration to the hostages for the trauma they have endured during this lengthy season.
Prayer point from the National House of Prayer.
