For you have been a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat, when the blast of the dreaded ones is like a storm against the wall.

Reflection

Displacement disrupts families, livelihoods, and daily stability in an instant. When emergencies force people from their homes, local communities and emergency responders step forward to offer shelter, supplies, and compassion. Ask God to grant physical and emotional endurance to displaced residents during prolonged upheaval. Pray for local authorities, relief agencies, and volunteers providing aid, requesting wisdom and resources to meet urgent needs. May neighbours open their doors and hearts with sustained generosity to help restore security.
