“You shall not follow a crowd to do evil. You shall not testify in court to side with a multitude to pervert justice.
Exodus 23:2 World English Bible
Reflection
Public officials often face immense external noise and intense hostility when navigating controversial issues. When fear of public backlash overshadows conviction, wisdom is easily compromised. Leaders require steadfast conviction to distinguish righteousness from outcry, making decisions anchored in truth rather than reactionary pressure. Ask God to grant elected representatives inner strength, sound judgment, and unwavering discernment so they may govern with integrity, remaining steadfast when popular pressure urges them to compromise moral truth.
Prayer
Pray for our political leaders that they would have moral clarity and not be intimidated by the raging mob mentality.
