No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Reflection
Political leadership brings constant pressure to compromise core convictions when convenient or expedient. Decision-makers often face intense scrutiny, partisan influence, and shifting popularity, making it difficult to maintain personal integrity. Ask for spiritual strength and moral courage so those serving in government can withstand subtle and direct pressures to set aside their foundational beliefs. May integrity guide their deliberations, giving them fortitude to remain faithful to ethical standards even when doing so comes at personal or political cost.

Continue to pray because the temptation to abandon their principles is very real.
