Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in justice. A man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the storm, as streams of water in a dry place, as the shade of a large rock in a weary land.

Reflection

Elected officials hold a solemn trust to govern with fairness and care for every community member. When decision-makers act with equity, the vulnerable find protection and governance remains steady. Faithfulness in office requires putting personal ambition aside to weigh decisions against the genuine needs of citizens. Ask God to grant incoming and current representatives the humility to seek impartial judgment, the empathy to listen attentively, and the courage to uphold integrity whenever they exercise authority.
