… and said to the judges, “Consider what you do, for you don’t judge for man, but for Yahweh; and he is with you in the judgment. Now therefore let the fear of Yahweh be on you. Take heed and do it; for there is no iniquity with Yahweh our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of bribes.”

Reflection

Courtroom decisions establish precedents that shape society for generations. When a judge renders a ruling, the ripple effects reach far beyond the immediate courtroom, touching families, communities, and national institutions. Pray for members of the judiciary to possess keen insight, foresight, and sound judgment as they interpret the law. Ask God to grant them clarity to evaluate long-term outcomes, resist short-term pressures, and uphold justice with impartiality, integrity, and honour.

Pray that the judge would be able to discern the long-term implications of their ruling and act in a way that upholds righteousness.
