Reflection
Effective prayer begins when those bringing petitions before God examine their own motives before seeking change in governance. When requests for leaders stem from pride or self-interest, intercession loses spiritual authority. Seeking divine alignment requires personal repentance, truth, and genuine humility. Believers must approach the throne with clean hands, asking for wisdom that honours God's standards rather than human agendas. Praying with integrity ensures that petitions for elected officials reflect grace, righteousness, and sincere care for all citizens.
