Interceding for elected officials requires careful self-examination. When requests for governance carry hidden harshness or self-righteousness, prayer risks turning into condemnation. Recognizing our own moral frailties keeps petitions rooted in genuine grace rather than contempt. Praying with modest, contrite hearts ensures that intercession reflects God's mercy. May the Lord cultivate true humility within every believer who brings petition for leadership, shaping requests that honour him and extend grace to those who serve.
Prayer
