Political debate frequently tempts leaders and citizens alike to view opponents with suspicion, assuming the worst about their intentions. When disagreement hardens into hostility, constructive dialogue stops. Choosing instead to look for good in others requires deliberate grace and humble self-awareness. Ask God to soften hearts, granting elected representatives and community leaders genuine compassion, so that discussions focus on serving every neighbour rather than winning arguments.
