Reflection
Differing convictions are an inevitable part of a free society, yet honest conviction is too often mistaken for malice. When honest disagreement is labelled as hostility, debate breaks down and individuals feel pressured to compromise their deepest beliefs. Asking God for wisdom helps citizens hold firm to personal truth while extending grace and civility to others. May decision-makers defend the right of every person to act according to conscience, fostering an environment where diverse perspectives can coexist without fear or intimidation.
Prayer
Pray for Canadians, that they would understand the difference between moral disagreement and hatred, and that society would respect freedom of conscience.
