Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings.

Reflection

Demands and pressures can easily pull attention away from essential duties, creating friction, weariness, and confusion. Spiritual resistance often seeks to derail sound decision-making through unnecessary conflict and persistent side-tracks. Praying for spiritual clarity helps those who serve to discern subtle hazards and maintain focus on what is good. Ask the Lord to guard hearts against bitterness or fear, granting perseverance to stand firm in truth and fulfil their responsibilities with quiet confidence.

Prayer

Pray that we would not be distracted by the attacks of the enemy and would remain steadfast in faith.
