Reflection
Public trust depends heavily on how decisions and relationships appear to those being served. Even when intentions are pure, the appearance of a clash between personal ties and official duties can undermine confidence in governance. Leaders require humble awareness to see how their actions look to others. Ask God to grant discernment to those holding responsibility, giving them the humility to step back, address potential misgivings, and protect transparency.

Pray for the government and for Mr. Johnston that they would recognize the perception of conflict.
