In a little while, the sky grew black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel.
1 Kings 18:45 World English Bible
Reflection
Dry conditions and fierce winds create tremendous strain for agricultural communities, emergency responders, and local leaders managing crisis responses. When fields thirst and communities face environmental stress, the weight is felt deeply by families and local economies. Ask God to grant merciful relief through gentle weather and gentle showers. Pray for wisdom for local authorities overseeing emergency preparedness, safety for frontline workers, and renewed hope for all who depend on the land.
Prayer
Pray for calm winds and lots of rain. Just as he answered Elijah’s prayer, may he send the rains and bring restoration of hope to this parched land.
