Pray for Government
Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, and to the writers who write oppressive decrees; to deprive the needy from justice, and to rob the poor among my people of their rights, that widows may be their plunder, and that they may make the fatherless their prey!

Reflection
When new legislation passes into law, the temptation can arise for governing authorities to exceed their rightful boundaries during enforcement. Power expanded without careful oversight risks infringing upon civil freedoms and burdening everyday citizens. Ask God to grant governing officials humility, restraint, and sound judgment as policies are carried out. Pray that administrative bodies respect legal boundaries, honour fundamental freedoms, and exercise their authority with fairness, wisdom, and genuine respect for every neighbour.
